DIVVISIONS was formed in early 2016 when singer/guitarist Nik Farr left a previous project with the intention of starting a band to support his own individual vision. He posted a self-recorded demo of the song "Starcrossed" online, seeking feedback. Drummer Rod McCarthy and bassist Sean McLaughlin quickly responded with a view to participating, and the three met for their first rehearsal that February.

The chemistry was undeniable as the trio blended their common influences, and amassed a full set of original material fairly quickly. Almost 12 months to the day that DIVVISIONS began practicing and writing together, the group played its first live performance. They haven't slowed down since that show, playing in venues all over southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts.

The band's now-established sound draws from New Wave and post-punk aesthetics, filtering classic alternative through a modern pop sensibility. Most recently, DIVVISIONS released their debut single, the anthemic "Surrender." Recorded at Woolly Mammoth Sound in Waltham, MA and co-produced by Farr and David Minehan (the Neighborhoods, the Replacements, Paul Westerberg, David Bowie), "Surrender" positions the group as an act to watch within the New England music scene.
